2.4 Sensitive personal information

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, health or medical information, biometric data, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation.

Please do not send us health or medical information. We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To respond to consultation requests, quote requests, and general inquiries

  • To maintain and secure your account, if you create one
  • To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • To comply with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements
  • To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

We do not use your personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you through automated processing alone.

4. How we share your information

We share personal information only as described below.

4.1 Manufacturers and fulfillment partners

Because we operate on a direct-fulfillment model, we must share your order information with the manufacturer of the product you purchase. This typically includes your name, shipping address, phone number, email address, and relevant delivery details such as stairway or access information.

The manufacturer uses this information to fulfill, ship, and where applicable install your order, and where applicable to support manufacturer warranty registration or service. Manufacturers process this information under their own privacy policies.

4.2 Shipping carriers and installers

We share delivery information with freight carriers, last-mile delivery providers, and installation contractors as necessary to deliver and set up your purchase.

4.3 Service providers

We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, including:

  • Website hosting and database infrastructure
  • Payment processing
  • Email delivery and customer communication tools
  • Scheduling and consultation booking tools
  • Analytics providers
  • Customer support tools

These providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to provide services to us.

4.4 Legal and safety disclosures

We may disclose personal information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, a subpoena, a court order, or other legal process; to enforce our Terms; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Remaster Living, our customers, or the public; or to investigate suspected fraud or a security incident.

4.5 Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

4.6 What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.

5. How long we keep your information

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

After the applicable retention period, we delete personal information or de-identify it so it can no longer reasonably be linked to you.

6. How we protect your information

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS across the entire Site
  • Encryption of data at rest in our database
  • Access controls limiting who can view customer records
  • Row-level database security restricting access to customer data
  • Secure password hashing for accounts
  • Delegation of all payment card processing to a PCI-DSS compliant processor, so card numbers never reach our systems

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulator as required by law, including under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93H.

7. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and improve performance.

Types of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site to function, including session management and security. These cannot be disabled.
  • Functional cookies — remember preferences such as items saved in your cart.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand traffic and usage patterns, such as which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and which products generate the most interest.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality.

Do Not Track. Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry standard for responding to these signals, and we do not currently respond to them. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by applicable law.

8. Marketing communications

If you receive marketing emails from us, you may opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing message, or by emailing support@remasterliving.com with the subject line "Unsubscribe."

Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages related to an order you have placed, such as order confirmations, shipping notifications, delivery scheduling, or warranty and support correspondence.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Right to know / access — request confirmation of whether we process your personal information, and obtain a copy of it, including the categories collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to the exceptions in Section 10.4.
  • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under applicable law, so there is nothing to opt out of. You may still submit a request, and we will confirm this.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right.
  • Right to data portability — receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may exercise these rights as provided under their state law, including the right to appeal a denial of a request. To appeal, reply to our response with the subject line "Privacy Request Appeal," and we will respond within the timeframe required by your state's law.

Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom may also have the right to object to processing, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

10. How to request deletion of your information

You may request that we delete the personal information we hold about you. We honor deletion requests from all users, regardless of state or country of residence.

10.1 How to submit a request

Submit your request by any of the following methods:

By email (preferred): Send a message to support@remasterliving.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request."

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • The email address and any phone number you used when contacting us or placing an order
  • A statement that you are requesting the deletion of your personal information
  • Whether you want all information deleted, or only specific information

By mail: WisDou Logistics LLC — Attn: Privacy Request, 300 Glen Meadow Rd, Franklin, MA 02038
By phone: 617-297-7575

10.2 Verifying your identity

To protect your information, we must verify that the request comes from you. We will typically verify by confirming that you control the email address associated with our records, and by asking you to confirm two or more data points already in our records, such as the product you inquired about or the approximate date of your inquiry.

We do not require you to create an account to submit a request. Information you provide for verification is used only for verification and is deleted afterward.

10.3 Authorized agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written permission signed by you, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity directly.

10.4 Our response

We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and provide a substantive response within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we will notify you and may extend it once by an additional 45 days, for a maximum of 90 days total.

There is no charge for a deletion request unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we will explain the basis before charging or declining.

What does deletion mean? When we delete your information, we remove it from our active databases and instruct our service providers to do the same. Backups are overwritten on our normal backup rotation cycle, typically within 90 days.

10.5 Exceptions

We may be unable to delete certain information where retention is necessary to:

  • Complete a transaction or provide a product or service you requested
  • Fulfill warranty obligations or process a pending return, claim, or dispute
  • Comply with a legal obligation, including tax and accounting recordkeeping
  • Detect or prevent fraud, or protect against malicious or illegal activity
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
  • Maintain internal records of your deletion request itself, as required by law

If we deny all or part of your request, we will tell you which exception applies and delete everything not covered by it.

10.6 Important limitation regarding manufacturers

If you have placed an order, your information was transmitted to the manufacturer for fulfillment. We cannot delete information from a manufacturer's systems. We will tell you which manufacturer received your information and provide their contact details so you can submit a request directly to them.

10.7 Effect of deletion

Deleting your information may mean we can no longer locate your order history, support your warranty claim through us, or respond to future inquiries about a past purchase.

11. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@remasterliving.com and we will delete it promptly.

12. Third-party links

The Site contains links to manufacturer websites, product videos, and other third-party resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Review their privacy policies before providing information to them.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. If we make material changes to how we collect, use, or share personal information, we will provide prominent notice on the Site and, where required, obtain your consent.
